We collect information you voluntarily provide when you register for an account, use our Services, or communicate with us, as well as information collected automatically when you access the Platform.

2.1 Information You Provide to Us

  • Account Registration Information: Full name, email address, phone number, date of birth, country of residence, and account credentials. iPractis uses a unified account system where a single account provides access to both Student and Tutor features.
  • Profile Information: Profile photo, biography, language(s) spoken, educational background, learning preferences, and, for Users applying to become Tutors, teaching qualifications, certifications, professional experience, and credentials submitted as part of the Tutor Application process.
  • Payment Information: Billing address and payment method details. Note that payment card information is processed and stored by our third-party payment processor, Stripe, and is not stored on our servers.
  • Communications: Messages exchanged between Users through the Platform, customer support inquiries, and feedback or reviews.
  • Session Data: Information related to tutoring sessions, including scheduling data, session duration, attendance status, and booking history. Sessions are conducted via Google Meet and are not recorded by iPractis.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type and version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Log Data: IP address, access times, pages viewed, referring URL, and other browsing activity on the Platform.
  • Usage Data: Features used, interactions with the Platform, session duration, and frequency of use.
  • Location Data: Approximate geographic location based on your IP address.
  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: Information collected through cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar tracking technologies. Please refer to our Cookie Policy for more details.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from third-party sources, including: (a) social media platforms, if you register using a social media account; (b) Stripe, our payment processor, regarding the status of transactions; (c) Google, in connection with the use of Google Meet for Sessions; and (d) analytics providers.

  • Providing and Maintaining Services: To create and manage your account, facilitate tutoring sessions, process payments, and provide customer support.
  • Improving Our Services: To understand how Users interact with the Platform, identify trends, and improve functionality, content, and user experience.
  • Communications: To send you service-related notices, updates, security alerts, and promotional communications (with your consent, where required by law).
  • Safety and Security: To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues.
  • Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, and governmental requests.
  • Personalization: To personalize your experience, including recommending Tutors or content that may be of interest to you.
  • Research and Analytics: To conduct research and analysis to better understand our user base and improve our Services.

4. How We Share Your Information

We may share your personal information in the following circumstances:

4.1 With Other Users

Certain information is shared between Students and Tutors to facilitate the tutoring marketplace, including profile information, ratings, reviews, and communication through the Platform's messaging system.

4.2 With Service Providers

We share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, including payment processing (Stripe), video conferencing (Google Meet), cloud hosting, analytics, email delivery, and customer support tools. These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only for the purposes of providing services to us.

4.3 For Legal Reasons

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with a legal obligation, subpoena, or court order; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of iPractis; (c) prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Services; (d) protect the personal safety of Users or the public; or (e) protect against legal liability.

4.4 Business Transfers

If iPractis is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, bankruptcy, or reorganization, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on the Platform of any such change in ownership.

4.5 With Your Consent

We may share your information with third parties when you have given us your explicit consent to do so. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Services. Our Platform allows users between the ages of thirteen (13) and seventeen (17) to use the Services with verifiable parental consent and supervision. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen (13) without verifiable parental consent. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as possible. 8.2 Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting us at legal@ipractis.com. We will process your request in accordance with applicable law, subject to any legal obligations that require us to retain certain information.

8.3 Marketing Communications

You may opt out of receiving promotional emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in each email or by contacting us. Even after opting out, you will continue to receive transactional and service-related communications.

8.4 Cookies

You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings or as described in our Cookie Policy. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform.

8.5 State-Specific Rights

11. Do Not Track Signals

Some web browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. Because there is no industry consensus on what DNT means, our Platform does not currently respond to DNT signals. We will update this Policy if we adopt a DNT standard in the future.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law.
